Our opening production is a comedy about a Jewish family gathering to celebrate the birthday of its matriarch, Miriam.

Miriam's adult daughter, Sarah, is expecting a baby any day now, and Miriam's adult son, Joel is trying to work up the courage to tell his parents that he is gay. Who will "come out" first.

HIGH HOLY DAYS AT ADATH JESHURUN

highholyday2019_0.png

We look forward to welcoming everyone to AJ this year for High Holy Day services! High Holy Day Seat Reservation packets were recently mailed.  If you did not receive a packet, but would like to attend services, please call the AJ office at 458-5359 and request a packet.

Adath Jeshurun takes your safety and security very seriously! To better protect our members, guests, clergy and staff, advance reservations are required this year for each person attending services. Every AJ member is welcome! Please do not allow the cost to prevent you from attending services. Those needing financial assistance are encouraged to contact Rabbi Slosberg at [email protected] well before the deadline, as all names must appear on AJ’s reservation list to get through security. Seat Reservation forms returned without the names of ALL seat occupants WILL be delayed until all names are provided. Thank you in advance for your understanding as we follow the advice of law enforcement and continue to tighten our security procedures.

To ensure accuracy, reservations are NOT accepted by phone, however, they may easily be made by returning the forms and payment to the AJ Office in one of the following four ways:

  1. Mail to AJ in the return envelope provided in the packet.
  2. Bring to AJ prior to the deadline.
  3. Fax to the AJ office at 451-5634.
  4. Scan to [email protected].

The FINAL DEADLINE to return all High Holy Day Seat Reservation forms, Childcare Reservation forms, and Memorial Book submission forms is: TUESDAY, AUGUST 20, 2019.

IMPORTANT CHANGE IN

SHABBAT SITTER SERVICE!

sitter_service.png

Adath Jeshurun has been pleased to provide complimentary Shabbat Sitter Service every week for many years!

Currently, fewer families are utilizing Shabbat Sitter Service.  In order to be responsible with congregational funds, we are making some changes.

Shabbat Sitter Service will be provided only if advance reservations are made.  Sitter service will remain complimentary, and is offered for children six weeks old through grade 2. Parents of children using sitter service must remain in the synagogue the entire time that sitter service is being used.

AJ will continue to provide complimentary Sitter Service on days when Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremonies are scheduled, and reservations are not needed for these Saturdays.

In order for Adath Jeshurun to schedule childcare workers, reservations must be received by noon on the Wednesday prior to the Shabbat when reservations are needed.

Reservations can easily be made by registering here or by calling the AJ office at 458-5359.
