Melton for Millennials

Are your kids coming home from Hebrew School or Pre-School talking about Jewish topics you don't remember? Have you just forgotten stuff you learned when you were younger? Are you new to Judaism? Do you want to make Jewish observance more meaningful for your kids...and yourself?

Come learn about a new course just for parents of young children, although you need not be a parent to attend. All are welcome! Free childcare provided (and will continue to be provided if you take the course!) First session is free of charge and we will learn about this course and create a schedule that works for us! Stick around afterward for lunch with the graduating Melton class! No commitment beyond this free class. Bring your friends. If you do decide to continue, the cost is just $36 for the text (which covers 20 sessions over 2 years!)  Students are able to join the class at any time.

The course will be taught by Lisa Rothstein Goldberg, mom of two young girls--ages 4 and 1. Lisa earned her MA in Jewish Communal Service and Graduate Certificate in Jewish Education from Baltimore Hebrew University. She has been a Jewish educator for many years and is a Melton graduate herself.

RSVP to Deborah Slosberg.

An introductory course designed by the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning for parents of young children.  The schedule after June 3rd will be determined by teacher, Lisa Goldberg, and participants.  June 3 coincides with the Melton Celebration of Learning and students of this new class are invited with their children to the lunch following the Celebration of Learning ceremony.  This event is open to the community and free of charge.
