On January 20th, in the dead of winter, you are invited to warm your hands, body, and souls at our ‘Super Shabbat’, AJ’s second student-led Shabbat service. This “super intimate” service will be held in the Rabbi Robert B. Slosberg Event Center.
Blessings, Torah readings, and aliyahs will be recited by AJ kids and Jewish community members ages 18 and younger. Songs specifically selected by our youthful participants will be performed by Cantor David Lipp and AJ family favorite, John Gage. The Kiddush lunch will feature desserts baked by families and children of the congregation.
Children of any age and level are welcome to participate in the worship service. Together with Cantor Lipp, your child will be assigned the perfect part. Click here to sign your child up for a part in the service.
Don’t miss our Super Shabbat kick-off event, the “Sunday Funday” Baking Day on December 17th at Adath Jeshurun. Whisk it, whisk it real good starting at 12:30 p.m. until the dough runs out in the Miriam Blue & Phyllis Adams Dairy Kitchen and Charles & Jean Erskine Large Auditorium.
